Recording/Session Work:
Through the process of writing music and doing pre-production / studio recordings with multiple bands, I've learned through experience many of the fundamentals of audio engineering, editing and production. I've also taken various audio courses to further fine tune my ear and skills to balance the finer details.
While providing each of these services individually, I can also help guide you and your band through the entire recording process: from pre-pro, tracking, programming, and editing, to the final mix and master.
My room is a hybrid project studio consisting of a digital interface and additional analogue preamps / outboard, but my rig is also portable if you have a suitable space in mind for mobile recording.
If you're seeking a session drummer either live or in the studio, I'd love to collaborate. I have a wide palate of drum sounds to choose from with three drum kits and various snares and cymbals to suit different styles. After learning, writing or improvising the drum parts I'll record and provide edited raw or mixed drum mulitracks; or MIDI drum parts that have been programmed with attention to dynamics and authentic feel. I also hire out for live performances and tours depending on availability and scheduling.
If you're interested in any of the above and want to contact me, feel free to send an email with further details about your project or fill out the form at the bottom of the site.

Lessons:
If you want to take some lessons to develop your skills on the drums, I'm here to help. I've been teaching private drum lessons for over 10 years and have worked with all sorts of students in that time. We can either cover the fundamentals of technique, theory, reading and rudiments; or delve into more advanced concepts like limb independence, odd-times, double kick, polyrhythms/polymeter, permutations, etc...
I teach from my home studio in Edmonton, AB, but can also do video lessons. If you live in the Edmonton area, I'm also willing to travel for lessons or clinics for an additional fee. If you're interested in lessons, please send me an email ( [email protected] ) or fill out the form below.
